June Harmon

June Irene Harmon, age 85, of Mankato, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Immanuel St. Josephs Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School Endowment Fund.

June was born on May 15, 1921 in Mankato. She was the daughter of Dr. H.C. and Clara (Meyer) Prey. June was a graduate of Bethany High School, and also attended Bethany College and the Chicago Conservatory of Music. She was united in marriage to Dr. Stanley M. Harmon on September 1, 1946 in Mankato. June assisted Stanley with his Optometric office and also taught piano and organ. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was a past organist. June enjoyed fishing, music, and playing organ.

June is survived by her husband, Stanley of Mankato; two daughters, Carol Harmon of Mankato and Michal (Loren) Clobes of New Ulm; three grandchildren, Jevne Clobes, Jennifer (Daryl) Thul, and Jonathan (Dawn) Clobes; ten great-grandchildren, Michael, Hannalora, Andreas, Nathan, Joshua, Oliver, Abigail, David, Caleb, and Hannah.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
