Mark Douglas McGrath, 52, formerly of Mankato, was found dead in his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Thursday, April 19, 2007.
Mark was born May 8, 1954, in Mankato to Gordon and Phyllis McGrath. He attended St. Johns Catholic grade school and Loyola High School. He graduated from St. Thomas College in St. Paul and in 1976 moved to Los Angeles to work at a division of MICO, Inc. He married Teri Hall in 1989 and the couple divorced in 1991. In 1990 his greatest pride in life, his son Michael, was born. Mark lived in Los Angeles until 1993 when he moved to Florida to be closer to his son.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Gordon. He is survived by his son Michael (Port St. Lucie), mother Phyllis of Mankato, and brothers Larry (Carolyn) Grass Valley, California, Brent (Pam) of North Mankato, and Dan (Cathy) of North Mankato; seven nieces and nephews, Todd, Tiffany, and Tory McGrath, Larry and April McGrath, Scott and Peter McGrath.
There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Calvary cemetery in Mankato with Rev. Richard Colletti officiating. Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
