Beverly J Smith

Beverly Jean Smith, age 61, of North Mankato died, Thursday, May 3, 2007 at her home.

A celebration of Beverlys life will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary. Memorials are preferred to the Special Olympics.

Beverly was born May 17, 1945 in St. Peter. She grew up in several Regional Treatment Centers around the area, until she moved into Adult Foster Care in 1975. She lived in group homes at REM, David and Kim Zimmermans, and Christian Concern, Inc. Beverly worked for MRCI " Mankato, where she just celebrated 30 years of employment. Beverly enjoyed many outdoor activities, animals, dancing, playing cards, being with children, watching Shirley Temple movies, and eating sweets.

Beverly will be greatly missed by her housemates and her caring staff from Christian Concern, Inc., MRCI co-workers and staff, and everyone who was touched by the twinkle in her eye and excitement in her smile.
