Ruth Bernadine Mohr, age 67, died Wednesday April 18, 2007 at Immanuel " St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Monday, April 23, 2007. Visitation will be held from 4 " 8 p.m., Friday (TODAY) at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Saviors Lutheran Endowment Fund, the MDS Foundation, or the donors choice.

Ruth was born August 28, 1939 to Henry and Martha (Bohlen) Siemers in Ayrshire, Iowa. She graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1957. Ruth was united in marriage to Harley Mohr on September 3, 1960 in Emmetsburg, IA.


Ruth was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She was a former president of LWML and Altar Guild. She was a former director of Board of Fellowship, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, confirmation mentor, served on the Sudanese Committee, and a member of Christus Choir and Bible Study Groups. Ruth also was a former Cub and Girl Scout leader, American Red Cross Volunteer, AFS Volunteer, Garden Club member and Katonian Dance Club member. Ruth enjoyed collecting chickens, chimney sweeps, snowmen, and working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Harley of Mankato; three children and their spouses, Jerry Mohr and Michelle Dornath-Mohr of Grant, AL, Larry and Cindy Mohr of Plymouth, MN, and Margie and Pastor Brad Webb of Wilson, WI; ten granddaughters, Rebekah, Naomi, Hannah, Tabitha, Rachel, Jessica, Grace, Faeth, Hope, and Joy; three brothers, Gilbert Siemers of Brownsdale, MN, Ben (Vicky) Siemers of Iowa City, IA, and Tim (Dawn) Siemers of Emmetsburg, IA; sister, Marcella (Mike) Kressin of Clear Lake, IA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. She will always be remembered as a loving wife and a wonderful, caring mother and grandmother.
