Lowell Robert Wilson, age 74, of North Mankato, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2007 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ISJ Hospice Program or American Cancer Society.

Lowell was born July 9, 1932 to Clyde and Ruth (Linder) Wilson in Wells, MN. He attended school in ONeill, NE and graduated from Wells High School. Lowell served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He was united in marriage to Rose Yokiel on July 30, 1955 in Minnesota Lake. Lowell was an insurance agent for the Knights of Columbus for 25 years and also did accounting for various companies. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister. Lowell was also a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, founding President of the Lancers parents organization, and volunteered as an election judge. He enjoyed golf, bowling, stamp and coin collecting, playing cards, and reading.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Rose of North Mankato; two sons, Dennis Wilson of Apple Valley and Thomas (Mary) Wilson of Scottsdale, AZ; two sisters, Margaret (John) Sclimenti of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Mary Ann Wilson of Kew Gardens, NY; also several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents.
