Brian G Date

Brian G. Date, age 51, of Mankato died on Monday, April 2, 2007 at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester.

A private family service will be held at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery, rural Mankato. Memorials may be given to Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Brian was born on June 10, 1955 in Rochester to William and Lorraine (Stradtman) Date. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1974. On June 18, 1983 he married Jane Griffiths, they were later divorced. Brian was employed by Kato Engineering for 25 years. Brian loved to draw, and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Brian is survived by a son, Michael Date of Mankato; mother, Lorraine of Mankato; three brothers, Gary (Sue) Date of New Ulm, Wayne (Gail) Date of Mankato and Kevin (Mary) Date of Mankato; two sisters, Julie Date of Mankato and Gail (Anthony) Beer of Le Center; 7 nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, William in 2004 and two brothers, Keith and Jeff.
