Roger Riewe

Our Dad died on March 10, 2007 at the age of 58 at home with his wife and four children at his side.

Our father was born and raised in Willow Creek, Minnesota. He met our mother Julaine Zastrow at the Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca. Mom and Dad married in 1966 and raised five beautiful children. Twins, Rhonda (Salkin) and Rodney (deceased). Jesse Riewe (his wife Katharine, sons Jake and Mason), Jennifer Neira (her husband Carlos, and son Nico) and Ryan Riewe (with his three children, Derek, Ashley, and Brianna).

In March of 1981, our father, suffered a near fatal farming accident that changed our families lives forever. The last year has been Dads biggest battle fighting lung cancer. Even with the many medical challenges he faced, Dad was still able to live his life to the fullest. The many things he especially loved was to hunt with his boys, grandsons and friends. He was a true farm boy at heart. He also loved to manicure his farm to perfection, it gave him great pride!

Dad also enjoyed his position as Supervisor on the Pleasant Mound Township board as well as the Evangelism board of St. Johns and traveling with Mom and the MN Valley Corvette Club. He recently acquired his 16 year medallion with AA and we were very proud of him.

Dad was preceded in death by his oldest son, Rodney Riewe, his parents, Elmer and Rosella Riewe; brother, Leslie and mother-in-law Loretta Zastrow.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Willow Creek with Rev. John Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Willow Creek North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 " 8 p.m., Tuesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary.
