Kate Kosters

Kate Kosters, age 94, of North Mankato, MN formerly of Hull, IA, died March 7, 2007 at North Point Assisted Living in North Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2007 at American Reformed Church in Hull, IA. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Hull, IA. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Oolman Funeral Home in Hull, IA and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Mankato Mortuary is handling local arrangements.

Kate Kosters was born on November 18, 1912 in Sioux Center, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Winnie (Bonnema) Kruizenga. She was united in marriage to Henry A. Kosters on November 19, 1930 in Sioux Center. They lived on various farms during their marriage. Kate moved to Mankato in July of 2004.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Alvin (Lorene) Kosters of Warrington, MO, Wineva (Marvin) Moret of Mankato, MN, Hendrine Daniels of Columbia, MO, and Dennis Kosters of Downey, CA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin (Mary) Kruizenga of Hospers, IA; three sisters, Alice Dolieslager of Hospers, IA, Esther Schoneveld of Chino, CA, Maryann Wiarda of Rock Rapids, IA; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry; son, Kenneth; son-in-law, William Daniels; granddaughter, Danielle Kosters; two great-grandsons, Michael Donahue and Cory Kosters; five brothers, Paulie, Pete, Johnny, Glenn, and Ben; two sisters, Dena VanRavenswaay and Winnie Coulander.
