Keith Douglas Blasing, age 80 of Lake Crystal, died Friday, April 8, 2011 at Crystal Seasons in Lake Crystal.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal. Visitation will be one hour before service at church. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Keith was born July 11, 1930 to Lester and Helen (Broderius) Blasing in Mankato. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1948. Keith served his country with the U.S. Army from 1952-53. He was united in marriage to Margaret L. Waybright on June 11, 1954 at Zion Lutheran Church. Keith operated Blasing Oil Company in Lake Crystal for over 20 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal American Legion Post 294, was a past president of the Lake Crystal Lions, and a member of other civic organizations. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Keith is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Karla Gustavson of Mendota Heights; granddaughter, Heidi Davis; brother, Paul (Joan) Blasing of Eagan;two sisters-in-law, Ann Blasing of Lake Crystal and Mariann Nicholas of Arizona; and nieces and nephews.br />

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, John, and Donald; and an infant sister.
