Judy L Burnett

Judy L. Burnett, age 63, of Mankato, died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at her home in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Steve Kosberg officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ISJ Hospice or Hosanna Lutheran Church.

Judy Lla Nelle was born January 4, 1946 to Robert Emory and Mary Frances (Jernigan) Hynes in Jacksonville, FL. In 1964, she graduated from Winnebago High School. Judy received her Bachelor of Science degree at Mankato State College in 1968. On November 29, 1968, she was united in marriage to Dennis Burnett in Brookings, SD. They moved to Mankato in 1980. Judy was an accountant at Lloyd Lumber, Kato Sanitation, Waste Management, and LJP Enterprises. She was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church. Judy enjoyed golfing, reading, camping, walking, playing with her dogs and spending time with her friends and her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband, Dennis of Mankato; daughter Stacy (Jason) Whitten of Chesterfield, VA; two sons, Mike (Angela) Burnett of Sartell, MN and Jeff Burnett of Eagle Lake, MN; five grandchildren, Erica and Kyle Bennett, Emily, Bobby, and Thomas Burnett; and her two dogs, Sophie and Maggie.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
