William C Anderson

William C. Anderson, age 81, of Mankato died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Mankato House Health Care Center.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Andrew Palmquist, officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery, rural Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service on Friday.

Will was born March 15, 1928 to Charles M. and Ella V. (Hanel) Anderson in Mankato. He was united in marriage to Elfrieda "Elly" Streich on June 8, 1957 in North Mankato. Will was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed playing cards, attending threshing bees, tractor pulls, fairs, traveling, selling sweet corn and squash.

Will is survived by his daughter, Judy (Marlow) Palmquist of North Mankato; son, John C. (Terri) Anderson of rural Lake Crystal; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Nalezny; sister-in-law, Elaine Anderson; brother-in-law, Walter Tomschin; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Will was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elly in 2003; and brother, Carl.
