Charles Douglas Probach Sr.

Charles D. Probach Sr., age 68, of Mapleton, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at his home in Mapleton.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to donor's choice.

Charles was born June 23, 1940 to Gerald and Margaret (More) Probach in rural Pemberton. He was united in marriage to Joan Ficks in Mankato on August 6, 1960. Charles obtained his GED. Charles was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army Reserve.

Charles is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Dawn (Simon) Hernandez of Mapleton; son Chuck Jr. (Julie) Probach of Stewartville; sister, Marilyn Ambroz of Mankato; brother, Randy (Sharon) Probach of Maine; six grand-children, Jason, Melissa, Jacob, Brianna, Noah, and Emma.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and uncle, Art More.
