Vivian H Johnson

Vivian Helena Johnson, age 92, of Lake Crystal, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2009 at Lake Crystal Mortuary, with Fr. John Wilmot officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Lake Crystal. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Monday.

Vivian was born on April 7, 1916 in Toqua Township, Big Stone County, MN. She was the daughter of Edward and Benedicta (Meyer) Riepe. Vivian grew up in Butternut Township. She was united in marriage to Lester Johnson on August 15, 1932 in Mankato. She was a homemaker for her family and was also employed with the White Swan Caf" in Lake Crystal. Vivian was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and baking.

Vivian is survived by three grandchildren, Mike, Mark, and Sandra Johnson; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivory Riepe and Urban Riepe; also nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester in 1988; son, Robert in 1984; sister, Donna; and brother, Stanley.
