Thomas Edward Mulvehill, age 70, of rural Madison Lake, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary, with Chaplain Jacek Soroka officiating. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the mortuary. A private family burial will be held later this Spring. Memorials may be given to ISJ Hospice.
Tom was born on May 25, 1938 in Mankato. He was the son of Edwin and Agnes (Gostonczik) Mulvehill. Tom attended school in Cleveland. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1963. Tom was united in marriage to Sandra Blanshan on September 22, 1978 in Mankato. He was a life-long farmer and was also employed with Shine Way. Tom enjoyed fishing and collecting fishing equipment and John Deere memorabilia.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandra Mulvehill; daughter, Teresa (Tom Giese) Mulvehill of rural Madison Lake; five step-children, Kim (Tim) Wussow of Madison Lake, Kevin (Jill) Krause of Good Thunder, Kandace Krause of St. Louis Park, Kelly (Brenda) Krause of Madison Lake, and KaSandra (Jeff) Houle of New Hope; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond (Patricia) Mulvehill of Rapid City, SD and Robert (Sherry) Mulvehill of St. Peter; two sisters, Mary (Wayne) Kewitsch of Edina and Elizabeth Mulvehill of North Mankato; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry.
