Tim Hammer, age 52, of Mankato, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at his home in Mankato.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary in Mankato with Rev. Rudolf H. Maurer officiating. Burial arrangements are pending. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Saturday.
Tim Hammer was born November 1, 1957 in Minneapolis to Courtney and Janice (Vlasek) Hammer. He graduated from high school and attended college for four years. Tim was united in marriage to Laura Anderson on December 4, 2007 in Negril, Jamaica. He owned his own remodeling business, Hammer Home Improvement. Tim enjoyed golf, poker, remodeling, restoring old cars, vacationing, watching tv, taking long walks with his wife and spending time with his dogs.
Tim is survived by his wife, Laura; mother, Janice of Edina; two sisters, Nancy (Ben) Hirsch of Woodbury, Julie (Keith) Gordon of Chicago; niece, Courtney; nephew, Joey; uncle, Bud Vlasek of Fort Meyers, FL; and his beloved dogs, Molly, Jasmine and Chelsey.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Courtney; two uncles; cousin, Joe; and one dog, Jethro.
