Mary Diane Seitz

Mary Diane Seitz, age 65 of Cleveland and formerly of Madison Lake, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2007 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Rev. Syl Brown officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, ISJ Hospice, All Saints Catholic Church or the Church of the Nativity in Cleveland. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Diane was born on June 17, 1941 to Ben and Katherine (Garaghty) Schabert in St. Peter, MN. Diane made her first Communion and Confirmation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. She graduated from Good Council Academy in Mankato in 1959. Diane was a member of St. Annes Alter Society at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. On January 23, 1960 Diane was united in marriage to Jerry Seitz at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Over Dianes lifetime she was employed by C & S Supply, EF Johnson in Waseca and most recently at Carlson Craft Social in North Mankato. For a few years 1983 " 1987 she owned and operated the General Store in Madison Lake and Waterville.

Diane is survived by her four children and seven grandchildren, John (Lori) Seitz and their son Colton of Kasota, Leonard (Sandy) Seitz and their sons, Tyler and Brandon of Cleveland, daughter Mary (Nick) Klaseus and children, Kaitlin and Joshua of rural Cleveland, Connie (Dan) Meyer and children, Corey and Chenise of LeCenter, MN; four brothers, Joe (Donna) Schabert of Mankato, Larry (Pam) Schabert of Irving, TX, Bob (Bernie) Schabert of Courtland, MN, Tom (Jane) Schabert of Mankato; three sisters, Kathy (Ken) McMichael of Eagle Lake, Pat (Ron) Gaines of Wells, MN, Geri (Keith) McMichael of Eagle Lake, MN; sister-in-law, Wendy Schabert of Prior Lake, MN; in-laws, Ronald (Cathy) Seitz of Sleepy Eye, MN, Dick (Joyce) Seitz of Lafayette, MN, Marjorie Hurd of Lafayette; three aunts and many nieces, nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry (October 13, 2000), brother, Mike March 4, 2005, brother-in-law and two nephews as infants.
