Josephine Nicholson

Josephine Anna Nicholson, age 94 of St. Paul , died Friday, February 24, 2007 at Mankato House Health Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m.. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in St. Paul with Rev. John Ubel officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul.

Josephine was born June 14, 1912 in St. Peter to Charles and Mary (Zerwas) Meyer. She was married to Theodore Nicholson on November 10, 1934 in St. Paul. Josephine was a devout Catholic and was very active at St. Agnes Catholic Church in St. Paul. She was a member of the Minnehaha Bowling League until January of 2006. She loved gardening, playing cards and spending time with family.

Josephine is survived by a son, Ronald (Marlene) Nicholson of Mankato; sister, Eleanor Donovan of Fort Meyers, FL; grandchildren, John Nicholson and special friend Beth Griffis of Springfield, Jeffrey Nicholson, Debra (Dave) Winch all of Mankato; great-grandchildren, Sara, Melissa, Cindy and Travis Winch all of Mankato.

She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Christine Hakanson, Frank Meyer and Rudolph Meyer.
