Mildred Evelyn Witte, age 81 of North Mankato, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 after a battle with cancer at Oak Terrace Assisted Living.
The memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 420 Marie Lane, North Mankato, with Brian Merkling of New Ulm officiating. Mankato Mortuary assisted with the arrangements.
Mildred was born April 20, 1925 in Beckyn, MN. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Svaboda) Dworshak. Mildred grew up and lived most of her life in South Central Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Norman F. Witte on February 15, 1947 in St. Paul. Mildred loved to garden, can, cook, fish, sing, play guitar and cards with friends and family. She was an active member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for forty-nine years.
Mildred is survived by her husband of sixty years, Norman Frederick Witte; four children, Charles (Lesley) Witte of St. Paul, Susan (Darrell) McKee of Wickenburg, AZ, Gaylene (Nathan) Bissonette of St. Paul, Dohn (Becky) Witte of Mankato; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and brother, Harold Dworshak of St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and six sisters.
