Marlene Foss

Marlene Lois Foss, age 71, of North Mankato died Monday, February 12, 2007 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.

A private service is planned, with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary.

Marlene was born July 7, 1935 in Mankato to John and Florence (Kastner) Lemons. She attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from Good Counsel Academy. She was united in marriage to Willard M. Foss on March 24, 1956 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato. Marlene had been employed by Norwest Bank as a loan officer for 30 years retiring in 1998. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, card playing, bowling, and was an avid cat lover.

Marlene is survived by her four children, Patricia Foss of Eden Prairie, Michael Foss of Mesa, AZ, Jeffrey Foss of North Mankato, Thomas Foss of North Mankato; two grandchildren, Emily Foss and Sarah Foss; two sisters, Dorothy Miller of Eden Prairie, Betty Hoehn of Mankato; nieces and nephews.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2002; and sister, Jean Waller.
