Glenn Roberts

Glenn E. Roberts, age 55, of Lake Crystal died Sunday, February 11, 2007.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Messiah Lutheran Church, North Mankato with Rev. Jim Ahlquist, officiating. Private burial will be in Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Thursday.

Glenn Eugene Roberts was born on June 10, 1951 in New Ulm, MN to Orval and Loraine (Evenson) Roberts. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1969. Glenn was united in marriage to Barbara Mellberg in 1973 in Palo Alto, CA. After he was married he farmed in the Lake Crystal area for several years. He worked in the trucking industry for many years in Minnesota. Glenn enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, bull riding, horses, and especially enjoyed time with his family. He was his boys biggest hockey fan. He was proud to see both of his boys graduate from college.

Glenn is survived by his wife Barb; sons: Justin and Brandon Roberts; mother Loraine Roberts; brothers: John (Jane) Roberts and Bob (Vickie) Roberts; sister Darlene Roberts; mother-in-law Dorothy Mellberg; sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Charles) Robinson and Sandy (Dean) Meixell; brothers-in-law: Bill (Judi) Mellberg, Greg (Sue) Mellberg, and Scott (Lisa) Mellberg; and many nieces and nephews.

Glenn is preceded in death by his father; brothers: Jim, Donald, and David; father-in-law Jim Mellberg; and brother-in-law Bill Masters.
