Suzanne Sundborg

Suzanne Sundborg, age 62, of Mankato died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on February 24, 2009.

A Celebration of Sue's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mankato. A time of fellowship and sharing of memories will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Franklin PTO, 1000 N. Broad St., Mankato, MN 56001. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Sue was born January 24, 1947 in Fresno, California to Richard and Maurine Moxley. She married her high school sweetheart, Ron in July 1967. Sue studied elementary education at Fresno State University and graduated in 1970. She devoted her professional career to educating children. After graduating from college, Sue and Ron moved to Minnesota in 1973. She was a kindergarten teacher at Franklin Elementary School for 18 years. Her favorite leisure time activities included gardening, quilting, and spoiling her 19 month old granddaughter.

Sue is survived by her beloved husband, Ron; daughters, Paige (Rob) Swanson of North Mankato and Lainey Sundborg of Hopkins; granddaughter, Quinn; father, Richard Moxley; sister, Nancy (Richard) Keck of Fresno, CA; niece, Marissa (Patrick) Keck of Fresno, CA; nephew, Ryan Keck of Fresno, CA; mother-in-law, LaVerne Sundborg of Mankato.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Maurine.
