Jerome M Kopp

Jerome M. Kopp, age 76, of North Mankato died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Private family service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be held in Pilgrim's Rest at a later date.
Jerome was born November 17, 1932 to Ambrose and Margaret (Willock) Kopp in Mankato. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1951, served in Korea and separated in 1954. On February 9, 1957, Jerome was united in marriage to Agnes Meyer Wersal at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. He worked at the Minnesota State Security Hospital in St. Peter until 1988 when he retired. Jerome loved gardening and cooking.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Agnes of North Mankato; two sons: Donald (Chris) Wersal of Cleveland and Gary Wersal of Madelia; three grandsons: Jon (Daitra) Wersal of St. Peter, Jeff (Crystal) Wersal of Worthington, and Ryan Wersal of St. Peter; four great-grandchildren: Hannah, Kylie, Bennett, and Max; brother, Duane (Rose Marie) Kopp of North Mankato; sister-in-law, Anita Kopp of North Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Roland Kopp.
