Ronald E. Hauge, age 69 of Mankato died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato with the Rev. Al Girtz officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Ron was born on January 11, 1938 to Bernard and Inga (Twedt) Hauge in Madison, MN. He attended Madison area schools and graduated from Madison High School in 1957. Ron was a member of the Minnesota National Guard from 1955 to 1958. He married Carol Haugen on February 6, 1965 at Garfield Lutheran Church in Madison. Together they raised 2 children. In 1973 Ron graduated from Mankato State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Teaching. He was the owner of Hauges Services, specializing in cleaning services and supplies. Ron was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He enjoyed sports, music and family.
Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol; 2 daughters: Shari Hoehn (Terry) of St. Peter and Kris Gerlach (Kim) of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren: Amanda, Rachel, Ryan, and Alex Hoehn, and Matthew Gerlach; sister, Beverly Saboe (Roger) of Otter Tail, MN; Uncle, Merlin Hauge of Sleepy Eye; Aunts: Ruth Anderson of Dawson, MN and Henny Storlien of Sterling IL; mother-in-law, Alma Haugen of Madison, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, and father-in-law Carl Haugen.
