Mankato, MN " Clarence Clancy Lee Pieper age 50 of North Mankato died unexpectedly on Friday, January 26, 2007 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bart Fletcher officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
Clarence Lee Pieper was born January 5, 1957 in Jackson to Charles H. and Audrey I (Rowe) Pieper. He was a 1975 graduate of Jackson High School. On December 31, 1984, he married Barbara Caldwell in Jackson. They made their home in the Mankato area for the last 21 years. Clancy worked for Schwickerts in Mankato for over 25 years. He was a member of the Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church in North Mankato and was a life member of the Kato Cycle Club. He enjoyed motorcycling, pheasant and deer hunting, and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Barb of North Mankato; stepson, Matthew (Nicole) LeTourneau of Owatonna; son, Tyler Pieper of North Mankato; three grandchildren, Eva, Braden, and Lauren LeTourneau of Owatonna; parents, Charles and Audrey Pieper of Jackson; paternal grandmother, Ruby Pieper of Lakefield; two brothers, Henry Pieper of Lafayette, OR, Carl (Karen) Pieper of Frazee; three sisters, Shirley Crawmer of Spencer, IA, Carrie Pieper of Jackson, Audra (Rod) Sowles of Brewster; many nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dean and Viola Rowe, and paternal grandfather, Charlie Pieper.
