Murial E Graves

Muriel E. Graves, age 92 of Mankato, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Al Girtz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society (BENCHS).

Muriel was born on November 5, 1914 in Waseca Township to Bert and Clara (Rose) Peek. She married Richard Graves on September 19, 1936 in Mankato. She was employed by the 7 UP Bottling Company in the 1940s and Johnson Reel from 1956 to 1960. Muriel was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Ladies of the Moose. She liked to tell jokes, traveling with husband Dick, going up north, and spending time with nieces, nephews and friends.

Muriel is survived by two brothers: Robert Peek of Bishop CA, and Dale Peek of Cedar Rapids IA; sister-in-law, Joyce Peek of New Ulm; special nephew Rick Bateman of Mankato; special friend, Andy Fischer and the Evans family; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; and many siblings.
