Paul E. Dunker age 79 of North Mankato died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Monte Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Lake Crystal Mortuary.
Paul E. Dunker was born April 6, 1927 in Mellette, South Dakota to George and Lucy (Snover) Dunker. He married Velma Kulm on July 17, 1945. She died in January 1983. Paul married Darlene Hemmelrick on January 2, 1985.
Paul retired from Farmland Industry as a truck driver after 25 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was a trustee. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, dancing, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene of North Mankato; five children, Gwen (Wayne) Cattrysse of St. Peter, David Dunker of Madison Lake, Jack (Jeanne) Dunker of Janesville, Daniel Dunker of Vadar, WA, Jeffrey (Carol) Dunker of Lake Crystal; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dick (Jelby) Dunker of Aberdeen, SD, Jerry Dunker of Atwater, CA.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Velma, daughter, Debra Sohler, a grandson, two brothers, and five sisters.
