Agnes Angeline Ulschmid, age 77, of Mankato died Friday, December 29, 2006 at Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato with Rev. Syl Brown, officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Frazee, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at church on Tuesday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Immanuel- St. Josephs Hospice.
Agnes was born February 26, 1929 to Joseph and Mary (Joachim) Ulschmid in Silverleaf Township, Becker County, Minnesota. She graduated from Frazee High School in 1947. Agnes was employed by Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital Food Services for 39 years before retiring. Agnes was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Union 1856 where she served as past president, vice president, and secretary, Mankato Labor Temple, Dutler Bowling League, past member of St. Cecelia Choir at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and a member of the Golden Girls . She was an avid bingo player with her friend, Helen Orcutt.
Agnes is survived by two sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Ulschmid of Mankato, Gertie Ulschmid of Perham; brother-in-law, Maurice Collins of Barnesville; special niece and family, Kim and Clete Frederick, Monica Frederick all of Eagle Lake, Cari Frederick of Las Vegas, NV, Crista Frederick of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Joseph, and Everett Ulschmid; two sisters, Magdalin Bertram-Collins and Shirley Rader.
