Clara A. Paulsen, age 88, of Mankato, died Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato, with Rev. Pam Serdar officiating. Burial will be held in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Centenary United Methodist Church or the Alzheimers Association.
Clara was born April 22, 1918 in Mountain Lake. She was the daughter of Daniel and Susie (Flaming) Epp. Clara was a graduate of Mountain Lake High School and the University of Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Harold W. Paulsen on August 2, 1941 in Minneapolis. Following her schooling, Clara was employed as a dental hygienist and later was a homemaker for her family. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and PEO. She enjoyed quilting and participating in church activities.
Clara is survived by her husband, Harold of Mankato; three children, Jim (Christi) Paulsen of Sandpoint, ID, Sandy (Jay) Friedlander of Memphis, TN, and Bob (Selena) Paulsen of Ft. Collins, CO; seven grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Dick of Mountain Lake; also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; one sister; and one step-sister.
