Avid sportsman, Charles Charlie Mueller, age 67, of Mankato, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 10, 2006.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at New Creation World Outreach Church in North Mankato, with Pastor Dave Laughlin officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Ducks Unlimited or to the donors choice.
Charlie was born on March 2, 1939 in Mankato. He was the son of John and Dorothy (Baugatz) Mueller. Charlie was a 1957 graduate of Mankato High School and a 1961 graduate of Mankato State University. He was the owner/operator of Muellers Superway, Stone Toad Lounge, and Muellers Tax Service. Charlie was recognized as Boss of the Year several times. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Elks Club, Loyal Order of the Moose, Eagles Club, and the Mankato Golf Club. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, curling, spending time with grandchildren, and was a great cribbage player.
Charlie is survived by his three daughters, Susan (Randy) Oachs of Mankato, Margaret (Michael) Telfer of Charlotte, NC, and Anne (Paul) Sanford of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Jamie and Jeremy Oachs, Noah and Joshua Telfer; one brother, Jack (Lynn) Mueller of Mankato; one sister, Janet (Greg) Schwarck of Bloomington; two nieces, Julie Mueller and Gretchen Schwarck; one nephew, John Schwarck; and a huge circle of additional family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
