Paul Brude

Paul A. Brude, age 82 of Rapidan, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Immanuel St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Al Girtz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Paul Arnold Brude was born July 27, 1924 in Mankato. He was the son of John and Myrtle (Erickson) Brude. Paul was a 1943 graduate of Rapidan High School. He was united in marriage to Harriet Thorson on October 26, 1955 in Rapidan. Paul was a life long farmer in Rapidan. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Paul was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting antique tractors, watching old movies, sitting outside during summer days, and raising animals, especially his dog, Dude .

Paul is survived by his wife, Harriet of Rapidan; six children, Joel Brude of Rapidan, Jan Brude of Waseca, Jill (Kevin) Krause of Rapidan, Jon (Kelly) Brude of Pueblo, CO, Jay Brude of Good Thunder, and Jeanna (Dave) Sablatura of Cibolo, TX; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Megan, Luke, Lana, Chelsea, Danielle, Samantha, Cody, and Jake; one great-grandson, Kole.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Berton.
