Lillie Magdalena Jacobs age 93 of Fairmont and formerly of Mankato, died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Lutz Wing Nursing Home in Fairmont.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2006 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. James Pragman officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Saviors Lutheran Church or to an organization of the donors choice.

Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Lillie was born September 11, 1913 in Minden, Iowa to Fred and Emma (Foje) Zelinsky. She lived in the Persia and Portsmouth, Iowa areas most of her early years. Lillie earned her Normal School Teaching Certificate and taught Elementary School in Harrison County until her marriage to Dorrance W. Jacobs on June 18, 1936.

Lillie was very involved with her faith and church related activities at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato. She also loved to do crafts, needlework, gardening, cooking, camping, and walking.

Lillie is survived by her five children, Bobbie (Marylou) Jacobs of Hackensack, Roger (Karen) Jacobs of Austin, Jacquelyne (Larry) Hinz of Fairmont, Russell (Kathleen) Jacobs of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Randy (Barbara) Jacobs of North Mankato; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; sister, Verdene (Vernon) Pedersen of Terril, IA; sisters-in-law, Ruth Zelinsky of Terril, IA, Lorraine Zelinsky of Mankato; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dorrance; four brothers, Francis, Roy, Wilbur, and Donald; and a sister, Leota.
