Lorraine Ida Borgmeier age 88 of Mankato, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Mankato House Health Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to an organization of the donors choice.
Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Lorraine was born June 10, 1918 in Mankato to Edward and Henrietta (Wandersee) Guentzel. She was married to Robert Borgmeier on June 1, 1935 in Mankato. They lived and farmed in Lime Township and were members of the Farm Bureau. Robert died in 1985. Lorraine was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed card playing, gardening, cooking, and dancing. Her passion was to spend time with her family.
Lorraine is survived by five children and their spouses, Carol and Hank Mamer of Mankato, David and Colleen Borgmeier of Gladstone, OR, Patricia and Gordon Lingbeck of Mankato, Marion and James Falkenhagen of Lakeville, Roger and Patricia Borgmeier of Mankato; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Hiniker, Florence Hiniker and her husband Kenneth all of Mankato; sister-in-law, Marge Guentzel; brother-in-law, Charles Farr of North Mankato; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Barb Huffman; son-in-law, Don Huffman; two brothers, Kenneth and Norman Guentzel; two sisters, Vera Sasse and Carmen Farr.
