Reno Milo Rue, age 89 of rural Mankato, died Saturday October 21, 2006 at Immanuel " St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the Lake Crystal Mortuary with Rev. Nancy Dreier officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Wednesday.
Reno was born July 21, 1917 to Ole and Velma (Allen) Rue in rural Madelia. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945 during World War II. Reno was a farmer, and operated his own garage and sawmill at his home in rural Judson. He also worked for Kato Engineering. Reno enjoyed music and played in a small band, he also enjoyed mechanical work and reading.
Reno is survived by his sister, Marlys (Albert) Teigum of rural Madelia; nieces, Carolyn (Tom) Schultz of rural Madelia, Barb Snyder of Andover, NJ; grand nephews, Grant Schultz and Jamie Schultz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lloyd and nephew, George Snyder.
