Mary Beth Hansen, age 44, of Cedar Rapids, IA and formerly of Mankato, died Monday, October 16, 2006 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato with one hour of visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to her sons. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Mary Beth was born March 19, 1962 in Mankato to John and Dolores (Malcolm) Mead. She attended Mankato West High School and St. Paul Area Vocational School, where she graduated and obtained her AAS in Nursing Administration and was licensed in Minnesota. From 1984-87, she attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, where she was a Deans List graduate and received her AAS in Business Administration and Public Relations. From 1995-96, she attended Dearborn Financial Institute in Illinois.

On February 19, 1983, she was married to Timothy Garth Hansen at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato. They later divorced.

Mary Beth is survived by her two sons, Mitchel Andrew Hansen of Palm Bay, FL, Timothy Garth Hansen, Jr. of Mankato; a granddaughter, Brenna Marie Hansen of Mankato; mother, Dolores Mead of Mankato; two sisters, Cynthia Zettles Mead of Mankato, Diane Roque and husband, Carlos of Cedar Rapids, IA; two brothers, David Mead and wife, Lynda of Mankato, Peter Mead and wife, Lisa of Vernon Center; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Beth was preceded in death by her father, John Earl Mead, grandmother, Agnes Malcolm, and an aunt, Evelyn Paschke.

Mary Beth was gifted with personality plus. Her great love was her two sons, Mitch and Timmy and granddaughter, Brenna. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
