Steven L. Cashin, age 51, of North Mankato, passed away at his home on Monday, October 16, 2006.
Memorial services are at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Syl Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary.
Steven was born in Faribault to William and Delores (Ellerbusch) Cashin on January 17, 1955. He attended the Faribault Public Schools. He married his wife, Helen on August 1, 1975 in Faribault. He worked for Ennis and BMI Construction in Faribault until 1980, and then went to work for Land O Lakes Dairy from 1980 to1993 driving semi and bulk trucks hauling milk products. In 1993, he returned to BMI Construction and in 1996 started working for SMC Construction of Mankato, where he worked until September 2004.
Steve and his wife lived in Faribault and moved to Mankato in 1982. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fixing cars, hunting, country music, working outdoors, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Steve is survived by his wife, Helen; by his three daughters, Jamie (Scott) Peterson of Janesville, Kari (Shaun) Thomas of Mankato, and Nicole (Scott) Loeffler of North Mankato; by three brothers and two sisters; and his eight grandchildren: Carleigh, Kyle, Kendahl, Amber, Elisabeth, Hunter, Grant, and Kayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law, one brother, and an infant brother and sister.
