Warner A. Zeno, age 90, of Mankato died, Friday, January 9, 2009 at Sunrise Cottages of Mankato.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary. Private interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials may be given to the Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society (BENCHS) or an organization of the donor's choice.
Warner was born February 13, 1918 to Warner G. and Bertha (Neily) Zeno in Mankato. He was united in marriage to Mildred Flohr in 1963, she died in 2004. Warner owned and operated Zeno Glass Company of Mankato. Warner was a veteran of World War II as well as a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Club, Masonic bodies of the Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree Mason, and the Zurah Shrine Club of Minneapolis. He was a former member of the South Bend Fire Department. He also served as director of the Mankato Junior Chamber of Commerce, treasurer of the Mankato Builders Exchange and on the board of directors of the Manufacturers and Wholesalers and on the board of directors of the Blue Earth County Historical Society.
Warner is survived by a sister-in-law, Elaine Zeno of Farmington; nephews, Mike Zeno and wife, Elizabeth of Lake Elmo, Gregory Zeno and wife, Sharyl of Rosemont; three grandnieces and one grandnephew.
Warner was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; brother, Rodney.
