Dale Charles Cassman, age 80, of Mankato died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 5, 2008 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Paul Meierding officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
Dale was born December 14, 1928 to Henry and Esther (Seppman) Cassman in Mankato. He attended Felton High School in Felton. Dale was united in marriage to Lucille "Lou" Loke on April 1, 1950 in Marshall. He was employed with Dotson Company for 30 years and then Condux until his retirement in 1990. Dale enjoyed gardening, fixing things, and visiting with family and friends.
Dale is survived by his wife, Lucille "Lou" Cassman; two sons, Dennis (Jennifer) Cassman of Mankato and Gregory (Lori) Cassman of Marshfield, MA; three grandchildren, MacKenzie, Morgan, and Benjamin; six siblings, Delores (James) Bjornstad of Grand Forks, Wilbur Cassman of Tracy, Helen Rognlie of Halstad, Carol Halverson of Ada, William (Carol) Cassman of Fargo, and Velma (David) Dunham of Felton; also many nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Burnett and Vernon Cassman.
