Dennis F Dorn

Dennis Dorn, age 83, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Immanuel Saint Josephs Hospital in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 3, 2008 at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin one hour before mass at the church. Burial will follow the service at Calvary cemetery in Mankato. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Dennis was born on December 13, 1925 to Benjamin and Marie (Sondag) Dorn near Nicollet. He worked in Mankato driving truck and was united in marriage April 13, 2005 to Shyrl (Moore). Dennis was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the American Legion, and the Eagles Club. He loved to listen to old time music.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Shyrl; four children, Barbara (Pat) Brown of Zimmerman; Denise Nygaard of Savage; Rebecca (Kevin) Voelz of Delano; Mark Dennis of Mankato; three step-sons, Bruce (Mary) Bauman of North Mankato, Darcey (Colleen) Bauman of Mankato, Bryon (Christine) Bauman of Mankato; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dale (Willa) Dorn, Gerald Dorn, Roger (JoAnn) Dorn, Donald (Louise) Dorn; three sisters, Berniece (John) Nelson, DeEtte (Joseph) Hawkey, Marlys (Robert) Nugent; many nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Laverne Dorn, Warren Dorn, and Myron Dorn.
