Scott Leinen

Scott Douglas Leinen, age 41, of Mankato, died Monday, September 4, 2006 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2006 at Mankato Mortuary. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Scott was born November 8, 1964 to Roger and Kay (DeWald) Leinen in St. Paul. He graduated from Woodbury Senior High School in 1983 and later graduated from Brown Institute. Scott was united in marriage to Lisa Knapper on October 12, 1991 in Lamberton. He worked as a computer operator at Hickory Tech for 17 years. Scott enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting, playing softball, and watching sports.

Scott is survived by his wife, Lisa Leinen of Mankato; his twin sons, Tyler and Ryan Leinen of Mankato; his parents, Roger and Kay Leinen of Woodbury; his sister, Kathryn (Mark) Hinks of Farmington; a nephew, Jonathan Hinks of Farmington; and his mother-in-law, Karen Knapper of Springfield.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Augusta Leinen, and George and Mary DeWald; and his father-in-law, Larry Knapper.
