Ruby Stelter

Ruby E. Stelter, age 89 of Mankato, formerly of Albany, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Eau Claire, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.

Ruby was born on June 19, 1917 in Eau Claire, WI. She was the daughter of Dave and Hilda (Stelter) Gustavson. Ruby attended school in Eau Claire. She was united in marriage to Emmanuel "Bud" Stelter on September 20, 1941 in Louisville, KY. They made their home in Melrose, MN and later in Albany, MN. Ruby was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, and making candy. In 2004, she moved to Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Ruby is survived by a brother-in-law, Fern (Bertha) Stelter of Independence, IA; two sisters-in-law, Arlene (Ed) Liebe of Duluth and Dorothy Heier of Jamestown, ND; also nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud in 1999; and one sister, Dorothy.
