Thomas T Eggers

Thomas T. Eggers, age 99, of North Mankato, died Monday, August 28, 2006 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 31, 2006 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato, with Rev. Gary Wong, officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service on Thursday at church. Memorials may be given to MRCI.

Thomas was born December 29, 1906 to John and Cena (Weyers) Eggers in Barnes County, North Dakota. He married Clara C. Olson on July 5, 1935 in Litchfield, Minnesota. Clara died on September 14, 1998. Thomas worked for Madison Silo Company, Olson Elevator and Mill Supply, and North Star Concrete. He was a member of St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church. Thomas enjoyed fishing, reading, golf, playing cards, and watching the Minnesota Twins.

Thomas is survived by three sons, Dean (Clara) Eggers of North Mankato, Darrel (Georgia) Eggers of Mankato, Bruce Eggers of Mankato; daughter, Barbara (William) Miller of Mankato; 7 grandchildren, Patricia (Al) Dykema, Mark Eggers, Daniel (Mary) Eggers, Amanda (Ben Heywood) Eggers, Michael (Shelly) Miller, Jody (Don) Harman, Peggy Schmidt, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Violet Nordling of Litchfield; brother-in-law, Einer Olson of St Cloud; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife; grandson, Stephen Eggers; granddaughter, Lynne Lyon; great-granddaughter, Michelle Pursifull; four brothers; and four sisters.
