Marsha Beth Berg, age 55 of North Mankato, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, August 23, 2006.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Congregational UCC in Mankato with The Rev. Albert J. Thompson III officiating. There will be a time to visit the family one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to United Campus Ministry.

Marsha was born January 22, 1951 in Springfield, Minnesota to Leonard and Wilma (Kuritz) Anderson. She was a 1969 graduate of Comfrey High School and obtained her Bachelor of Science in business and accounting in 1990 from St. Marys University. On September 5, 1970, she was united in marriage to Timothy Berg. She served as a loyal and loving ministers spouse in a number of church congregations from 1974 to 1990. They have lived in North Mankato since 1991. Marsha worked for Schmidt Siding and Window as their human resource director and accountant. She was a member of First Congregational UCC, where she served as treasurer. Marsha enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, playing piano, and was Nana to one and all.

Survivors include her husband, The Rev. Timothy J. Berg of North Mankato; two daughters, Danielle and her significant other, Steve Goette of North Mankato, Desiree Berg of North Mankato; two grandchildren, Victoria Snyder and Emily Snyder; mother, Wilma Wellner of Springfield; four siblings, Vance (Karen) Kuritz of Oakdale, Keith (Paula) Anderson of Gaylord, Nancy Anderson of Minneapolis, Jon (Kim) Anderson of Ortonville; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Lois Berg of North Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marsha was preceded in death by her father, Leonard in 1989.
