Harold E. Wishart, age 85, of rural Mapleton, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Mapleton. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Harold Everett Wishart was born May 4, 1921 in Mankato to Horace K. and Mabel (Swenson) Wishart. He graduated from Mapleton High School in 1937. He was united in marriage on May 31, 1942 to Frances Irvine at the Presbyterian Church in Amboy. Harold was a life long farmer and sold Pioneer Seed Corn for 22 years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Mankato and the Minnesota Christian Campers. He and his wife spent their winters at Bibleville in Alamo, Texas for 23 years, and they enjoyed traveling in their RV.
Survivors include his wife, Frances of rural Mapleton; three children and their spouses, Sheryl Jean and Gregory) Roberts of Uniontown, OH, David and Christine Wishart of Miami, FL, Keith and Laurie Wishart of Fort Collins, CO; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Wishart of Mapleton. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Royce, a daughter, Janice, and a grandson, Neculai.
