Edna M Thompson

Edna Mildred Thompson, age 87 of Lake Crystal died Sunday July 23, 2006 at the Madelia Community Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2006 at First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in St. James. Visitation will be held from 5 " 7 p.m., Wednesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.

Edna Thompson was born February 10, 1919 in Rosendale Township, Watonwan Co. Minnesota to Jolmer and Bertha (Berndt) Knudson. She was united in marriage to Donald A. Thompson on April 22, 1939 in Estherville, Iowa. Edna worked at the Lake Crystal Health Care Center and Pleasantview Health Care Center in St. James. She was a very active member of First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal. Edna enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, spending time at the lake and with her family.

She is survived by one son Donald (Phyllis) Thompson of Hillman, MN; one daughter, Dianna (Robert) Wittmers of Minnetonka, MN; seven grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; sister, Alice Bloomquist of St. James; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, daughter, Eldora, great-grandson, Erik, one sister, Bernice; and one brother, Clarence.
