Vicki L. Meyer, age 62 of Mankato died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Nosbush officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to One Bright Star.

Vicki Lynn was born October 15, 1950 to Phillip and Margie (Packman) Wendland. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1968. On December 6, 1969, Vicki was united in marriage to Richard Meyer in Mankato. They were blessed with two children. Vicki had worked since she was in high school. She worked as a waitress, Salot's elevator operator, administrative assistant at Meyer and Sons for 25 years, and most of all, mother. Vicki was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where Rich and her would usher 5:30 Mass; of the ladies auxiliary at the North Mankato American Legion; and was one of the original founders of One Bright Star. Vicki was an avid curler, enjoyed card clubs, loved warm beaches, loved her family, and was known for her hugs.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Richard of Mankato; daughter, Kim (Ross) Carlson of St. Clair; two grandchildren: Andrew and Allison; mother, Margie Wendland of Venice, FL; two brothers: Zane (special friend, Georgia) Wendland and Troy (JoAnne) Wendland both of Florida; father-in-law, Paul (Doris) Meyer of Mankato; special friends: Anne and Bob; and many nieces and nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Phillip; son, Brandon; and mother-in-law, Wilda Meyer.
