Kenneth Charles Muellerleile, age 85 of Mankato, died November 14, 2012 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato with Rev. John Wilmot officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
Ken was born September 19, 1927 to Herman and Elizabeth (Frederick) Muellerleile in Mankato. Ken served his country in the US Army in Japan at the end of World War II. Following the war he returned to the Mankato area and was employed with Sears catalog. He was transferred to California with Sears. Ken then was employed by Hart's Jewelry and worked for the company until retirement and moved to Missouri and then back to the Mankato area.
Ken was a member of St. Joseph the Worker, Mankato VFW, American Legion, Elks, and Moose lodge. His hobbies included fishing, poetry, cooking, computer, cards, and socializing with friends and family.
Ken is survived by his two sons, Steve (Becky) Muellerleile, Gary (Allison) Muellerleile; daughter, Kate Darkstar all of the Twin Cities; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brother, Fred (Dixie) Muellerleile of Mankato; three sisters, Rita Olsen of Mankato, Betty Briley of Mankato, Judie (Mike) LaFrance of Waterville; special nephew, Ron Olsen and other special nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Mickey and Greg.
