Alice Winch, age 85, of North Mankato, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living in North Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Belgrade United Methodist Church, North Mankato. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at North Mankato Mortuary " Northview Chapel, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church Thursday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.

Alice Marie Winch was born August 2, 1925 to Charles and Lenore (Phillips) Diegnau in Le Sueur County. She attended rural schools at St. Peter and Winnebago, and graduated from Huntley High School in 1944. Alice later attended Mankato Commercial College.
She was employed since 1972 at the Leonard Diegnau Corp. with business locations including Waco Scaffolding in Mankato and Ripley's Rental and Sales in Red Wing, MN. She retired in 2000 as president of the corporation. Alice was active in Belgrade United Methodist Church and the Women's Society.

Alice is survived by 2 sons, James (Mary) of Redwing, Dennis of North Mankato; grandchildren, Jason, Terri (Nick) Lowman, Tasha Williams, Ashley, all of Redwing, Nathan (Angie) , Jessica Frain (Brad Sodeman), Martha (John) Speckel, all of Mankato; brother, Charles Diegnau of Fairmont; nephews, Craig (Jenny) of Fairmont, Chad (Mellisa) Diegnau of Huntley; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson, Spencer James Winch.
