Casey Keith Quinn, age 33, of Minneapolis and formerly of North Mankato, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis as a result of a brain tumor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at North Mankato Mortuary " NORTHVIEW, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.

Casey was born on August 23, 1977 in Omaha, NE to Dennis and Lois (Pille) Quinn. He moved with his family from Glenwood, IA to Mankato in 1989. Casey was a 1996 graduate of Mankato West High School and a 2001 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. He was employed with various advertising companies in Minneapolis, most recently with BBDO/Proximity. Casey enjoyed traveling, computers and technology, and especially time spent with family and friends. Casey had battled various forms of cancer since the age of 17 and was diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, a rare cancer predisposition disorder.

Casey is survived by his parents, Dennis and Lois Quinn of North Mankato; sister, Jill Quinn and her husband, Ben Bridge of San Francisco, CA; paternal grandmother, Estelle Quinn of Defiance, IA; uncles and aunts, Ray (Barb) Pille, Dave (Kathy) Johnson, Jim (Jan) Schrad, Joe (Nell) Pille, Kevin (Lucy) Furey, Chuck (Debb) Pille, Steve (Trina) Pille, Todd (Teresa) Crouse, Bernie (Lisa) Pille, Don (Barb) Quinn, Chet (Mary) Plisiewicz, and Linda Quinn; also many cousins and their families.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Owen Bridge; maternal grandmother, Ruth Pille-Lengeling; both grandfathers; cousin, James Schrad; and uncle, Dan Quinn.
