Marie Frances Hudson, 79, of Mankato, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Immanuel-Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Marie was born on May 26, 1931, in Pike Creek Township, Minnesota (near Little Falls) to Stanley and Joanne (Zilka) Zyvoloski. Her family moved to Minneapolis in 1940. She graduated from North High School in 1950. Marie was united in marriage to Arthur G. (Art) Hudson on August 16, 1952, at Ascension Church in Minneapolis. Marie and Art owned and operated the Tic Toc Shop for over 25 years, retiring in 1997.

She was an active member of Holy Rosary parish where she served as a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women. Marie was a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America, where she served in all offices in the local Court Saint Rose of Lima. She was also the State Secretary for the State Court for four years.

Marie enjoyed gardening, watching birds, relaxing at the lake and spending time with family and friends.

Marie is survived by three sons and a daughter: Robert (Jeanne) Hudson, Shoreview, MN, Donald (Anna) Hudson, Minnetonka, MN, Jeffrey (Denise) Hudson, Greer, SC, Barbara (David) Clinnin, Newburgh, IN; six grandchildren: Matthew and Scott, Jeremy and Jason, Christine and Benjamin; brother, Jerome (Germaine) Zyvoloski; sisters: Charlotte Freundschuh, Jane Armbrust, Ann (David) Hayes, and Lynn Gliniany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Art.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, Monday, March 21st, at Holy Rosary Church in North Mankato with Father Peter Nosbush officiating. Interment of ashes at Calvary Cemetery. Prayer service will be at Mankato Mortuary NORTHVIEW, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, at 2:00 pm on Sunday, MARCH 20th with visitation immediately following the prayer service until 5:00 pm. Visitation will also be held Monday, one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
