Alma Beatrice Desizlets, age 97, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Mapleton Community Home.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be held in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Mapleton Community Home or the Alzheimer's Association.

Alma was born February 14, 1914 to Lewis and Cora (Johnson) Johnson in Mylo, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Bemidji, MN. She was united in marriage to Earl Leonard Desizlets on October 19, 1939 in Bemidji. They lived there until moving to New Rockford, ND, in 1945. In 1954, they moved to Bismarck, ND. Alma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck. Alma moved to the Mapleton Community Home in 2000.

Alma was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and good friends.

Alma is survived by her son, Rod (Chris) Desizlets of Estes Park, CO; two daughters, Donna (Ray) James of Sun Lakes, AZ, Bonnie (Tom) Kourajian of Prior Lake; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl on November 12, 2002; granddaughter, Stephanie Jean Nagel; sister, Evelyn; three brothers, Roy, Palmer, and Ray Johnson.
